HO Scale Brass Overland Models OMI 3075-3076-3077 Great Northern Sand Cars by Ajin Precision of Korea 1987

1/87th HO Scale Brass Overland Models Great Northern Railway Set of Three (3) Sand Cars by Ajin Precision of Korea. This set includes OMI 3075 with 8 Round Roof Hatches, OMI 3076 with 4 Square Roof Hatches, and OMI 3077 with 8 Square Roof Hatches.

All are TCA Grade C-9 Factory New Brand New. The car with 8 round hatches does have one hatch that is loose so be careful when you turn the model upside down. Each model is complete with original boxes and foam, original parts packages with screws, air hoses and pin lifters. Prototypes were based on the 1929 built Canton Car Company 2-Bay Open Hopper Cars made for Great Northern Railway. Includes all three (3) versions of the company sand car varieties with 4-square, 8-square, and 8-round roof hatches. These transported locomotive traction sand used in the diesel locomotives so these were always seen sitting around the engine terminals near the sand towers until they were finally retired by Burlington Northern in the mid-to-late 1980s. Three lovely models in like-new condition.
